Infinite Wellbeing

Sustainability starts with the very first idea. As part of the Infinity Mission, LEONHARD KURZ will present how responsibility for our natural resources can be combined with creative impulses. A recent example: Our Wellbeing Collection. It not only inspires with its natural look, but the sample pieces were manufactured exclusively from recycled materials. The dyes used are also natural and create special highlights.

Wellbeing

The more our environment challenges us, the greater our need for harmony, safety, and security becomes. Even in space. The Visionary Design team at LEONHARD KURZ has translated this into natural surface designs under the theme of WELLBEING. The multi-faceted creations deliberately rely on harmonious contours and colors, flowing shapes, and subtle effects. We use recycled and bio-based materials, as well as natural dyes for these new and inspiring recyclable pieces.

Sustainability facts

As an industry pioneer in the field of sustainability, we have been committed to the responsible use of the environment and resources for decades. By joining the UN Global Compact, we committed ourselves to complying with the strictest standards - out of conviction. LEONHARD KURZ uses 100% renewable energies at its production sites in Germany. In addition, the company continuously invests in efficient processes for recycling, exhaust air disposal, energy saving and recuperation. LEONHARD KURZ has designed numerous innovative concepts for sustainable product development. Here are the most important facts:

100%

Our decorations are 100% recyclable

We are currently saving up to 25% CO2 in the production of our decoration products, and the trend is upward

95%

Metallization with indium consumes up to 95% less CO2 compared to classic electroplating with chromium VI

70%

IMD produces 70% less CO2 than conventional production methods

Our thin-film decorations require very little resources and meet the highest resistance requirements for both indoor and outdoor applications

100%

With our ‘Design for Recycling’ approach, we achieve the same convincing results in terms of quality and design as with new materials

Lifecycle Thinking

LEONHARD KURZ considers itself responsible for protecting the environment. That’s why we are constantly working on optimizing our processes and materials even further. Uniform quality standards that exceed legal standards and apply to all company locations contribute to this. We are also using more and more bio-based materials while continuously reducing CO2 emissions and, where possible, using internally generated energy.

RECOPOUND® - Mission: Circular economy

With the launch of the RECOSYS® take-back system, LEONHARD KURZ is taking the next step towards a circular economy. This means that production remnants of our decorations can be recycled and reused as high-quality compound granulate - RECOPOUND® - in injection molding. This recycled material is ideally suited for robust products in various industries and can be decorated to the same high quality as new material. You benefit by saving fossil raw materials and reducing CO2 emissions by up to 40% compared to using new material.
